Thinking about Joining the Unitarian Society of Hartford?

Below you will find some Sunday Morning Pulpit Testimonials as well as a collection of statements directly related to the question, Why I joined USH. Before you read them, you may wish to learn about Unitarian Principles and how we practice them.

A Collection of Sunday Morning Pulpit Testimonials

Sunday services at the Unitarian Society of Hartford offer so much.  Inspiring, challenging, humor-laden sermons, marvelous music from the choir and soloists, hymns to (try to) sing and, many Sundays, a pulpit testimonial.

These testimonials, delivered from the chancel by members and friends of the Society, cover an astounding variety of topics.  They are heart-felt, contemplative, amusing, well-prepared.  Many appeal for financial—and other—support for groups the speaker and the USH support.  Others describe the factors that brought them here.  They are delivered by both long-time and quite new members, by senior citizens and by teenagers. All show a love for and a commitment to the Unitarian Society of Hartford.  Lightly-edited versions of some of these testimonials from September 2006 to the present follow.
