Performing Arts Series

Performing Arts Update - Mark Your Calendars!

Due to challenging weather events during the 2013-2014 Performing Arts series, we have had to cancel some of our planned performances.  But for those who purchased tickets to the entire series, don’t despair!  We have these great events still to come, at no charge to subscribers:

Saturday, May 17, 7:30 - Jacques Lamarre’s fun new comedy, “The Binder,” will get a first reading, followed by a talk-back with the playwright and a reception.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED SORRY ABOUT THAT - Saturday, June 7, 1:30-3:30, Clara Barton UU Choir Festival - A grand afternoon of singing by six (so far) UU choirs from Connecticut and Massachusetts, including of course our own choir as well as our neighbors from the Universalist Church of West Hartford.  At the end, we all band together for three group numbers, featuring 90 voices. This even

Saturday, June 21, 4:00 - We will NOT be presenting the newly orchestrated version of Matt Primm’s The Principles on this date, as originally planned.  Our hope is to schedule that for next year.  Instead, please join us for the early evening farewell concert and celebration of Music Director Douglas-Jayd Burn.  No doubt he’ll have some delightful piano music to share.  And there will be cake!

Please update your calendars accordingly, and keep in mind that we hope to have a reception in the fall for series ticket holders.  If all goes as planned, that will be an opportunity to schmooze with both our new ministers and our new Music Director.  Exciting times ahead!
