Community Partnerships

Groups of USH members do hands-on work with others to increase social justice in the Hartford region. USH groups also offer opportunities to learn about and witness to a variety of social justice issues.

  • Noah Webster School tutoring: USH members work weekly with students to reinforce their learning. Contact Brian Harvey (860-674-0105).
  • Horace Bushnell Food Pantry in Hartford: For more than 20 years we have supplied canned goods and staples for the HB Food Pantry. Collection boxes are in the front lobby. This is a great family activity.
  • Race Matters: ┬áIn these discussion groups members and friends of USH learn about and live out racial equality. Contact Gloria Mengual.
  • Upper Albany NRZ: We are learning how to support the renewal of the Hartford region nearest USH. Contact Ed Savage (860-232-5603).
  • The Village for Families and Children: Our congregation shares with the families next door in fun and useful ways. Contact Joanne Orlando (860-657-3711).
