All children, no matter their race, wealth, gender, country of origin, where they live or who they are should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

In Connecticut, where do you live determines the education you can receive – opportunity is tied to housing. However, years of public policy have driven Connecticut to be one of the most racially and economically segregated states in the nation. As municipal boundaries define which school children attend, this has created wide racial disparities in our educational system.
